About Zakynthos island
The Venetians, who ruled the island in the Middle Ages, named Zakynthos as "Flower of the East". Zante as the island is also called is the southernmost and third largest of the Ionian Islands and is situated 8,5 nautical miled south of Kefalonia and 9,5 nautical miles west of Peloponnese, while it is thought to be one of the most charming Greek islands.
An island full of contrasts with many picturesque villages, the imaginery Blue Caves and the Shipwreck (Navagio) beach, one of the finest in the world is the ideal summer destination of every taste and need.
